Research interests: Jessica Helmick is a second year graduate in the Human Factors and Applied Experimental Psychology doctoral program. Currently, Jessica is conducting research with Drs. Hancock and Weaver in the MURI Lab in the areas of stress, human error and human performance. Jessica is also involved in research with Dr. Mouloua for the Transportation Research Group (TRG). Her research involves the effects of telematics (cell phones, navigation systems, etc.) on drivers’ performance. Jessica received her Bachelor’s of Arts from the University of Central Florida. Upon graduation the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division hired her to assist in the development and evaluation of Virtual Environment (VE) applications for military training.
