Student Chapter of the Doctoral Organization of Clinical Students in Psychology

Welcome to the home of the University of Central Florida Student Chapter of the Doctoral Organization of Clinical Students in Psychology, or Psi-DOCS. Psi-DOCS is a student-run Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Club recognized by the UCF Student Government Association. Our purpose is to establish a supportive, social network and facilitate communication among clinical students and between students and faculty. We also petition regularly the UCF Student Government Association to provide funding for conference presentations and our other academic pursuits. To date, Psi-Docs has acquisitioned successfully over $5,000.00 to pay for travel and lodging expenses for our members presenting at national and regional conferences.

Purpose
- Provide a conduit for communication between faculty and students regarding university, department, and program issues, information, questions, and solutions.
- Provide the clinical graduate students a voice in discussions and a vote in decisions regarding the graduate programs.
- Provide a vehicle for cross-program and inter-program camaraderie
Goals
- Facilitate the clear, consistent, and open flow of information between faculty and clinical graduate students.
- Ensure that the questions and suggestions from the clinical graduate students are heard and considered as the graduate programs evolve.
- Assist in a clear communication pathway to all graduate students regarding university, department, and program information.
- Acknowledge and celebrate graduate student accomplishments, awards, birthdays, marriages, births, etc.
- Provide links between master's and doctoral students for academic and social support.
- Form and pass on traditions.
- Assist in securing or raising funds to support student representation at psychological conferences.
