Professor Smither joined UCF in 1990 from Florida Institute of Technology. She earned her Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University. Professor Smither's areas of interest are in technology and aging. She is interested in conducting research investigating the use and design of technologies for an aging population. Dr. Smither is the Associate Chair in the Psychology Department as well as the Director of the FAAST Center.
