Title: Advisory Human Factors Engineer
Year started in the program: 1991
Year graduated: 1997
Research interest: Interests include HCI, web design, usability
testing, library science, and map design. I am the human factors
lead for VisualAge Developer Domain (www.ibm.com/vadd)
and WebSphere Developer Domain (http://www.ibm.com/websphere/developer).
VADD is an informational, community, and download site for
Java and e-business developers. It's also the download and
product support site for VisualAge for Java. VADD contains
product downloads, tools, tech tips, education, Java beans,
code samples, newsgroups, product support, and a technical
library of Java how-to information. Updated every Wednesday,
VADD is the central access point for Java development resources
and information. WSDD is similar to VADD in purpose but is
a much younger site and covers advanced information on developing
with WebSphere. WSDD is a community site for technical people
who work with the WebSphere software platform for e-business.
It provides centralized access to resources for all your WebSphere
technical needs, covering various topics (e.g., how to install,
configure, administer, and debug programs for the WebSphere
Application Servers, information on databases/JSPs/servlets/EJBs).
